Why Strength Train? As we age our muscle mass diminishes, and if we don't do anything to replace the lean muscle we loose, our body fat increases. Strength training has many benefits. Aside from enhancing your body composition and making you feel better, strength training helps preserve and enhance your muscle mass, regardless of your age. It increases your metabolism and the calories you burn at rest, improves stability, puts stress on your bones- helping to increase bone density, and reduces your risk from chronic disease....just to name a few benefits. Strength along with mobility, balance, endurance, and cardio vascular health are the components of good physical health and should be a priority.
Join us Friday mornings at 9:15 am as we incorporate all the components listed above into a fun and functional 60 min class.
